Welcome to the Crossroads Chapter website
of the International Association of Administrative Professionals

The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is the premier association for administrative professionals.   We are a not-for-profit professional association with a mission of Enhancing the success of career-minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership. Our association provides networking and education opportunities for administrative support staff at all levels.

The Crossroads Chapter  was chartered on February 9, 1998.  Our chapter meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from September through June in various locations in the Greater Attleboro area.  Guests are always welcome at our meetings.

Members have the opportunity to network and polish or expand their skill set through programs provided at our meetings.  Over the years, our chapter has been recognized on the division and international levels in 2008 the Chapter of Excellence Award was established.  Crossroads has earned the Chapter of Excellence Award since the program began seven years ago.

Members of the chapter have voted to continue meeting through April 2015.

Program Management to be Focus of the October Meeting

How are your project management skills? Would you like to learn more about how to see the big picure, to think strategically and apply critical thinking techniques to better manage your project and your team? If you said yes to this question, our October meeting is for you. Karen King, principal of Meeting Strategists, LLC, will share her knowledge of project management with us.

Our meeting will be held October 20 at Tavolino's Italian Restaurant at Patriot's Place in Foxboro. For more information about the chapter contact Marie (Gerry) Brunell, CAP-OM, Membership Chair

Crossroads Chapter Will Meet Through April

The Crossroads chapter members are closely following the progress of the revitalization program. They have voted to remain a chapter through April 2015 because they find the value of the monthly programs and the networking opportunity on a local level to be very valuable.

What is the "Invisible Promotion?"

Attend the June 16 Crossroads Chapter meeting and learn about the "Invisible Promotion" then decide if you have ever received one! Diane Souza, CAP, GNED Treasurer will be our speaker.

Instead of begrudging the new responsibilities and tasks you’ve been assigned, use them to “upgrade” your career – rewrite your job description and think big. The game has changed! Everyone needs to assess their current worth to their employer. Instead of relying on what you’ve done in the past, you must focus on what you can do to help the organization thrive in the future. Learn how you can take your “invisible promotion” and turn it into something that will make your employer sit up and take notice of your unique skills and valuable contributions. This program qualifies for one recertification point.

Following the program our new officers 2014/2015 season will be installed.
